Many companies utilize formal feedback from employees, including feedback about their supervisors. These programs go by names such as upward feedback, 360 degree feedback, etc. You might inquire if your company has such a program and if not, suggest they incorporate this type of feedback for better employee morale and performance.

Of course, there's always the anonymous letter to the boss's boss avenue.
