Thanks, I'll check those out.I love the shuffle feature on my iPod. It's as if the iPod is a tiny device that can read my mind. I'm like "I LOVE this song--iPod, how did you know?"
Another challenge with listening to headphones is that I haven't quite mastered the not-singing-along part. This is related to my having worked the past several months at home with cats who are big fans of my singing. Or at least they pretend.

OMG, I've had the same experience with shuffle. It's like it just knows exactly what I want to listen to. I have to admit, I have found myself lipsynching along every once in awhile, particularly during those Duran Duran Greatest Hits moments. =)» duckierose - What Should Melissa Listen to At Work?
I occasionally put radio disney on my computer, but they play "Who Let The Dogs Out" about 6 times an hour, so that had to stop. Plus, I think the DJs are actually in their 30s, but they act like they're kids, which is kind of creepy.-- posted by duckierose

Does your iPod ever get stuck on a theme? The other day I noticed three songs in a row related to the word "spoon." If I had a paranoid personality I would think it was trying to convey a secret message. But about what? Soup?» duckierose - What Should Melissa Listen to At Work?

Unfortunately the job I recently started frowns on iPod use at work. Not to mention wearing casual clothes, talking with colleagues, smiling. Needless to say, it's a rather morose environment.» Reddeyze - What Should Melissa Listen to At Work?

Most places I've worked at would frown upon Ipods. Then again, waitressing and customer service ARE two career paths where being able to hear people are pretty important.Being able to tune out assy customers would be great, though.

That's a bummer. My last temp job didn't allow iPods, which made no sense because I was stuck in a filing room alone all day. Seems like some employers will stretch their dictatorship muscles just because they can.Lucky for me this job does not require interaction with other humans. Lucky for other humans, too, in some cases.
Signed,
