I don't think religion belongs in the workplace, but God does. Religions are too opinionated and limiting to their own dogma. But God is universal, though the name for God varies widely.

We're three part beings, mind, body, and soul. To function in the workplace with only mind and body, or worse yet, only body, is foolish. It's like running a race with your hands tied behind your back. You can run, but not very effectively. Same with workplace functions; you can work without acknowledging soul, but not as effectively.
