Here is a memo to all the office kiss-ups, who arrive early, stay late, and do the work of seven people, putting the rest of us (those who have lives?) to shame.
I wrote this a few years ago during a more bitter time in my life when I was experiencing a lot of job dissatisfaction, and though it’s meant to be funny, some of it still rings a little true. It is difficult to find a work/life balance when someone in your office has no qualms with giving up all of their free time or sanity or other resources for the sake of their job, making everyone else look like a slacker for simply doing what is required.
Don’t be this person. Get a life.
